Our Response to COVID-19

We believe strongly in the power of the arts to lift and empower communities, especially during uncertain times such as these.

Our mission is to make the arts a part of young people’s lives in order to enhance their development as creative and productive human beings. While schools are not open for us to advance our mission in the typical way, we know children, families, and educators could benefit from our support. We remain committed to being mission-oriented every single day—even if it has to be online and virtual.

If you are not connected to our FacebookInstagram, or Twitter pages, but you want to remain connected in our pursuit, please consider following us.

We will continue to share arts learning resources, workshops, performances, and shows that you,
your family, and friends can use to keep engaged in learning.

Resources

May is National Mental Health Month!

We want to remind you to try to take the time to care for your mental health and well-being every day. We know some days are harder than others but know that’s okay and that you’re not alone.
This month, we will be taking a break from our regular Arts Connection programming and instead will be sharing resources and practical tips and tools you can use to improve your mental health and increase resiliency regardless of any situation you are dealing with.

Feel free to still view and take advantage of our Arts Connection schedule at your convenience!

What You Can Do

Support Young Audiences

With many schools in Western New York closed until further notice, there will be significant financial implications not only on Young Audiences but also on our dedicated professional artists, partners, and families we serve – all who are also facing uncertainty during this time.

Please consider helping us through this difficult period by giving to Young Audiences today.

It’s because of you that we have been able to offer high quality arts-in-education programming and services for nearly 60 years.

As we pivot to meet the emerging needs of our community during this rapidly evolving time, we are deeply grateful for any amount you can contribute towards making the arts even more accessible in the digital realm – now, and for years to come.

Advocate For The Arts

Here are ways you can support and advocate for the arts, cultural organizations, and artists globally, nationally, and in your community:

Museums across the globe are enabling audiences to explore their collections and facilities through virtual tours. Check them all out here.

Check out the creative activities and entertainment sources through your local libraries.

Go on a virtual tour of your city!

NPR has a running list of where to Stream Live Concerts.

The Social Distancing Festival is an online artist’s community to showcase the work of the many artists around the world.

Engage in a Creative Sprint.
