Students learn about the basic elements of music through traditional rhythms, based on the age-old concept, “if you can say it, you can play it.” They improvise and perform new compositions together, on a large variety of percussion instruments. Fosters a collaborative spirit while introducing students to musical concepts. Miriam creates an encouraging, playful, yet challenging environment where young people feel safe taking healthy risks making music together.
