Bring One World Tribe to your school for a seven day residency that explores West African rhythms, songs, chants, and languages such as Swahili, Latuka, Mandinga, Massai, and Luo. Students will have a chance to work with the instruments and pay close attention to the technique and tradition connected the Djembe, Dun Dun, bells, and congas. Students will learn the history behind each instrument, how they are made, and the important role each plays in African and Brazilian culture. This residency is recommended as a seven session residency and may culminate in a rousing school-wide student performance.
