Lauren Cremean started working with Young Audiences of Western New York as an intern after receiving her B.A. in Elementary Education with minors in Language Arts, English as a Second Language, and Fine Arts from Calvin College (Grand Rapids, MI) in the spring of 2015. Since then she has provided primary administrative support for the Education team, coordinated arts-in-education bookings, and managed a technology overhaul as Program Coordinator. Now Lauren is transitioning to part-time Development Assistant, in preparation for NY certification tests and a year of teaching abroad in South Korea.
Her unique experiences in administration and arts programming include working with teaching artist Nels Ross on small business strategy, performing in an original documentary theatre production based on the stories of refugees, coaching the Calvin College ballroom dancing team, and teaching STEAM in a socioeconomically diverse private school on the outskirts of NYC. Passionate about the holistic education of future generations, Lauren is also assistant coaching the University at Buffalo’s new competitive ballroom dance team, UB Dancesport. She hopes to continue to be part of the growing arts and wellness movement in her hometown of Buffalo, NY.
