Lehrer Dance is a dance troupe led by Jon Lehrer, an amazingly innovative dancer and choreographer. Lehrer began studying dance in his late teens and continued these studies at the University of Buffalo, where he was a member of the Zodiaque Dance Company. In 2003, Jon received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University at Buffalo’s Zodiaque Dance Company for his accomplishments as a dancer and choreographer.
Lehrer is known internationally for his gravity defying choreography and high-energy performance style. He teaches master classes all around the globe, and he is on the faculty of the Jazz Dance World Congress, Dance Masters of America, Dance Teacher Summer Conference, and other major dance organizations. As a teaching and guest artist, he has travelled as far as the Jazz Dance Festival/New Generation in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Jon is on the Advisory Board of Dance Spirit Magazine, and he was featured on the November 2007 cover of Dance Teacher Magazine.

Learn how to become a SuperDancer ...the Lehrer Dance way! Watch a brief performance of the company dancing their signature high energy, athletic repertoire then learn the moves in a fun, easy to follow class. The students will laugh and play as they learn real Lehrer Dance movements such as Spider-Man, Jellyfish, Sumo Slide and Waterfall. The students will get a great physical workout and gain valuable insight into the art and athleticism of dance. The workshop will also introduce the students to the relationship between physics and dance - utilizing circularity, momentum, and 3-dimensionality to become a SuperDancer!
