Kip Ralabate

Kip Ralabate is the owner and director of the Kiptom Dance Center in Cheektowaga, NY. During her competitive ballroom dance career with her brother Tom, they were United States and North American Latin Ballroom Dance Champions. They also represented America at the World Latin Dance Championships held in Germany.

Ralabate has taught and adjudicated for other regional and national dance organizations for the past 38 years. Ralabate is a member of Dance Masters of America (DMA), a national organization of professional dance teachers certified by test to teach. She is currently on the teaching faculty of Canisius College, training physical education majors in Ballroom Social Dance. Many of her former students are now working in the entertainment industry.

A former member of Am-Dance in Concert, she performed at the North East Regional Ballet Festival and at numerous national dance conventions. Her choreography has been featured for the Ice Skating Club of WNY. Ralabate has taught children with special needs for the Buffalo School System and is currently on the teaching faculty of Canisius College, and guest teaches at Nardin Academy.

Ballroom Social Dance add to wish list

The Ballroom Social Dance workshop will introduce students to the basic steps of the smooth Foxtrot, the Latin style Merengue, and the energetic American Mixer. Students will partner to learn social skills, improve self-esteem, and have fun.

This workshop can be extended into a multi-session residency (contact office for details).
